Spectrometer
Optical spectroscopy enables real-time monitoring of reaction progress, cofactor concentration and formate production without interrupting experiments. The selected spectrometer covers the visible and near-infrared spectral region required for monitoring the Carbonic Anhydrase (CA) and Formate Dehydrogenase (FDH) reaction system used in BIOCUF, while maintaining a compact footprint and significantly reducing instrumentation cost compared to research-grade laboratory spectrometers.
Its spectral range is fully compatible with the optical measurements required for cofactor regeneration and concentration tracking, while its small size allows direct integration into the chamber and monitoring platform. This enables continuous in-line measurements, simplified deployment and scalable instrumentation suitable for future pilot-scale systems.
